2005 STAA Field School at the Chandler Site (41BX708)

First recorded by C.K. Chandler in 1986, Abasalo Archaeological Consultants surveyed the site again and discovered Late Paleoindian, Archaic and Late Prehistoric components in April and May 2005. Initial investigation in June by STAA found a high density of cultural materials, especially in the west midden area, which was selected for further excavation in the 2005 STAA Field School.
